Extensive Repair Capabilities – Our experienced technicians provide prompt repair for any size machine tool spindle or other high precision rotating devices that incorporate ball, roller, taper bore, and various types of hydrostatic bearings. Full in-house machining operations provide one-source capability to repair or totally remanufacture your spindle. It is the official repair center for Setco, Pope and Whitnon spindles. We specialize in the repair of Kessler and Weiss spindles.

Complete Testing Equipment – A comprehensive range of power supplies, chillers and lubricators permit runoff and testing for all makes and models of repaired spindles under simulated operating conditions.

Setco can offer unique services “On site taper grinding” for faulty taper bores of VMC/HMC spindles. With the use of special precision grinding equipment, designed and built by us, for this purpose.
Our grinding machines feature a set up gage, which is indicated in to your machine’s spindle, setting the proper geometry for grinding the seat, on taper, regardless of the machines alignments. This method eliminates the error of tolerance stacked up upon assembly and is the most accurate method of grinding the taper seat true to spindle rotation.
